ABOUT :

Meet Scarlet, a beautiful girl who is 110 pounds of love and fluff!

Scarlett was rescued as a puppy and adopted into a loving family where she spent 6.5 years getting all the care and attention she deserved. Unfortunately, Scarlet did not adapt well to the arrival of a new baby in the household - a surprise to everyone as she was great with older kids, and she is now looking for a new forever home.

Scarlet is used to living in a home with another dog and a cat, and is used to playing with many different dogs. She is playful and energetic and would appreciate living with a family who will give her space to run around and have fun. She adores being outside, and one of her favorite activities is lounging outdoors and watching the world go by - even in the snow! Scarlet is great in the car, so bringing her on adventures would be easy and she would appreciate the activity and time spent with her people.

She is housebroken and tolerates being home alone - but it’s best if you leave her with some toys and put away your important things because she may think they are a new toy for her when she’s alone!

Due to her level of discomfort around young children, Scarlet needs a home where any children present are over 10 years old, and who understand that they need to respect her and her space.

WORDS FROM HER FAMILY:

Scarlet is one of the silliest, sweetest, and most loving dogs. She just loves love. She doesn't know her own size and would sit on your lap if she could, and will probably still try. She wants to be included and be around the people she loves. She enjoys being outside, people watching, and chasing squirrels. In her quieter moments, she loves to sleep on pillows and flip on her back against walls. She has been a large support during our time together and would have been a great service dog had she had the proper training. We hope she will be brought into a new family that will give her tons of love, take her on many walks, and let her run free in the backyard.
