WHO WE ARE

Rescue All Dogs (RAD) is a non-profit organization focused on rescuing dogs that have been abused, neglected, abandoned, or are scheduled to be euthanized in high kill shelters.  Originally begun in 2018 by Kim Desautels and Yossi Ohana, RAD started as a merchandise store that donated the profits from its sales to fund rescue operations.  Over time, it evolved into its own rescue organization which utilizes a volunteer-based network of foster homes, veterinarians, and trainers.

Dogs, which are taken into RAD’s program, go through an extensive medical and personality assessment before being prepared for their “furever” homes during the foster phase. Often it involves rehabilitation and training as well. Despite its small personnel footprint, since RAD has started its rescue operations it has had a large geographic footprint by pulling its rescues from around the world. Based in Vancouver, British Columbia, and Montreal, Quebec, RAD has regularly rescued dogs not only from Canada but also from the United States and overseas in the Middle East.

Operating without discrimination, RAD’s goal is to rescue at-risk dogs regardless of breed, age, or size.  In addition to its rescue work, RAD promotes matters that improve the welfare of dogs such as owner education, spay and neutering, and the advocacy of the ethical treatment of animals.  Our mission is to work in the hope that this type of work will not be needed in the future.  Do good, be RAD!
