Ratatouille came from a situation where he didn’t receive the love, guidance, or care every dog deserves. Despite his difficult start, he has blossomed into a gentle, affectionate, and wonderfully playful boy who absolutely adores people. Once he feels safe, he leans right into you for pets, attention, and companionship.
Because of his past, Ratatouille can still be nervous around new people and in busy or chaotic environments. He thrives in a calm, quiet home outside of the city, with a patient family who will give him time to build confidence at his own pace. When he trusts you, you’ll discover a loyal, goofy, loving companion who wants nothing more than to be by your side.
As a true Bloodhound, Ratatouille is strong, enthusiastic, and very powerful on leash. His new family must be physically prepared to manage his strength and committed to working with a trainer if needed to help him walk politely and safely. He also has that classic Bloodhound voice—he loves to howl for fun and express himself, so apartment living is not suitable for him.
Ratatouille is a truly wonderful dog who just needs the right environment and a family who understands his breed, his background, and his big, sensitive heart. With kindness, structure, and patience, he will reward you with endless love, loyalty, and laughter.
