Hubert is a gentle, affectionate, outdoors-loving dog with a heart of gold.  He adores being close to his people, soaking up pets, cuddles, and attention, and his soft, expressive, slightly goofy face perfectly matches his warm and loving personality. Hubert is incredibly friendly with everyone he meets—adults, seniors, children, and other dogs. He interacts beautifully with kids, and greets other dogs with calm, polite manners. He is one of the most respectful, and easygoing dogs you’ll meet, making walks and social outings a joy.

Outdoors is where Hubert truly shines. He thrives on long walks, nature adventures, off-leash time in safe areas, and the chance to explore at his own pace. He loves running in the woods, swimming, sniffing around, and greeting people and dogs along the way. Rain or snow doesn’t bother him at all, being outside is simply his happy place. Indoors, with enough exercise and stimulation, Hubert is calm, relaxed, and well-behaved. He is housebroken, non-destructive, and accustomed to having free roam of the home.

Hubert does have some separation anxiety. When left alone, he may bark, especially in confined environments. This behaviour has already improved with routine and reassurance, and in a larger home with more space and consistent companionship, he is expected to continue gaining confidence. Aside from this, Hubert has shown no concerning behaviours—no guarding, no aggression, no reactivity, no prey drive, and no destructiveness. He is simply a sweet, well-mannered, loving dog.

Hubert’s ideal home is one that can offer space, structure, and plenty of outdoor time. A house with a yard, a suburban or rural property, or cottage-country setting would suit him perfectly. He would thrive with an active family or individual who enjoys walking, hiking, exploring, or simply spending time outside. He forms deep bonds with his people, so a home where he is not left alone for long hours would be best. In return, Hubert offers unwavering loyalty, affection, and companionship. He is a remarkably gentle, social, and loving dog who will bring warmth, joy, and connection to the family lucky enough to call him their own.

Mr. Hubert has been nothing short of a joy to foster. He is the kind of dog who changes your home the moment he walks in — gentle, loving, and full of heart. He is my little ‘love bug,’ always ready for cuddles, always happy to greet a new friend, and always eager to explore the world by your side. He’s incredibly adaptable and has settled beautifully into every environment he’s been in. Whether it’s walking through the city, running freely in the woods, or relaxing at home, he brings a calm, joyful energy with him. He loves people, kids, and other dogs, and he has one of the sweetest, most affectionate personalities I’ve ever seen. What makes him special is the way he bonds.
