ABOUT :

Meet Havana! Havana was rescued from an overcrowded shelter in Los Angeles, where she was heartbreakingly placed on the euthanasia list due to overpopulation and lack of space. Despite such a rough start, Havana has proven to be one of the sweetest and most loving pups you could ever meet.

Havana enjoys a perfect mix of playtime and snuggles. She loves her walks, backyard zoomies, and playing fetch with her foster family’s kids. When she’s not busy exploring or chewing on her toys, she’s happiest curled up next to her humans, soaking up all the affection she can get. She’s gentle and kind, adores children, and loves saying hi to the neighborhood kids at the bus stop each morning.

Her confidence has blossomed so much since arriving in foster care. At first, she was shy and unsure, even needing her foster mom to sleep next to her crate the first few nights. Now, she walks in at bedtime on her own, eats happily, and races around the yard with joy. She’s still a bit nervous around new people, loud trucks, and unfamiliar sounds, but she’s improving every day. Havana wants to be brave—she just needs a little patience and reassurance to feel safe.

On leash, Havana is making great progress! She used to weave between legs or get a bit excited when spotting other dogs, but she’s learning quickly and responds well to redirection. She sleeps quietly in her crate at night and has excellent house manners, though like any puppy, she occasionally grabs a shoe or gets playful with her mouth when excited. She’s not destructive, just curious and eager to engage.

Havana would thrive in a calm, loving home where someone is around most of the day—perhaps someone who works from home or has a flexible schedule. A yard where she can play and another friendly dog to help build her confidence would be a bonus. She’d also do wonderfully with kids, as she absolutely lights up around them.

This beautiful girl has come such a long way in a short time and deserves a forever family who will give her the love, patience, and security she needs to continue blossoming. Havana’s tender heart and sweet spirit make her truly one of a kind—she’s ready to give her whole heart to a family who will cherish her just as much as she’ll adore them.

WORDS FROM HER FOSTER:

Oh miss Havana is just so sweet. It did not take long for all of us to fall in love! From the way she looks at you with her pretty eyes to her fun little personality, she will make an amazing family dog. She loves kids and looks to them to help her when she feels anxious. She doesn’t bark much but does cry, it’s how she likes to communicate she’s clean in the house. The bestest love bug there ever was.
