NICO

Originally named Miko. She was rescued in the outskirts of Vancouver. She was neglected and had a few health problems that thankfully were treatable. She had barely any muscles and was underweight. It was clear to us by her behaviour that she had never been socialized, seen much of the outside and been exercised. We put her with one of our fosters who we thought would be perfect for her as she is very dog knowledgeable and owns a dog trek company TREK 4 PETS. Danielle got to work right away with Miko and Miko today is a complete different dog. They both got attached to each other, fell in love and that was it! Nico is still learning everyday and enjoying daily hours of hiking in the mountains of North Vancouver!

WORDS FROM NICO’S NEW ADOPTER: One evening I receive a text from my Kim from RAD asking if I knew anyone who would be able to take a Doberman puppy as a foster. She then proceeded to send me multiple pictures of a very cut flopped eared puppy who was neglected. Obviously I couldn’t say no and took her in as a foster immediately. Shortly after I fell in love with little Nico(originally Miko) and that plan changed. This lucky lady went from living in a small space and barely getting out to joining me hiking with other pups daily. She always fills my home with her happy wagging tail and spunky attitude. She has quickly become a staff favorite and makes all of us laugh daily with her goofy attitude. I couldn’t be happier to have her fall into my life. I am so grateful to RAD for making it happen.
