HARLEY

WORDS FROM HARLEY’S NEW ADOPTERS: For as long as we were together, my boyfriend and I always said we wanted to adopt a rescue. A few weeks after we had settled into our new house, we excitedly started looking into adopting a young dog. It was harder than we thought as more people were adopting due to Covid and working from home. After a few months of looking and no responses, we heard about RAD from a friend. Through them, we met a german shepherd mix and his foster mom, it looked hopeful but it ended up in a foster fail (no hard feelings, as they are a perfect match!). Kim felt bad, and she assured us that she would find us our perfect dog. As promised, a few weeks later she sent us a picture of Harley. He was underweight and scared when found on the side of a highway in Manitoba. A few weeks later we met Harley at our home, and our lives were never the same. After a few weeks, he got used to the house and is now fully acclimatized and just a big ball of energy! Harley also loooooves to sleep and cuddle on the couch with us! He is a velcro dog and gets caught in our feet sometimes, but he loves everyone and gets along great with other dogs. He has already brought so much love and joy to our entire family, I cannot imagine life without him. Thank you to Kim, Rob, Teny, Katie, and everyone else at RAD, for their amazing determination when it comes to rescuing dogs and for matching us with our perfect pup.
