Abby is a gentle, sensitive little soul who is slowly discovering the world for the first time. Rescued from a situation of neglect, she wasn’t given the exposure, guidance, or affection she deserved early in life. Because of this, she can be shy and unsure when she encounters new things—but beneath that timid exterior is a truly sweet dog who wants nothing more than to feel safe and loved.

Once she trusts you, Abby melts into your arms and eagerly leans in for affection. She absolutely loves being close to her person and would happily spend her days curled up on a lap or nestled beside someone who makes her feel secure. Her sweetness shines in quiet moments: soft eye contact, gentle tail wags, and the way she relaxes once she knows she’s safe.

Abby is still learning the basics she was never taught. She is not yet house-broken and will need patient, consistent guidance as she learns appropriate routines. She is also still learning to walk on a leash, and while she tries her best, she needs a calm environment and a steady hand to help build her confidence. With time, gentle guidance, and routine, she will continue to make steady progress.

Abby will thrive in a calm, patient home that understands her need to go at her own pace. Loud or busy environments can overwhelm her, but a peaceful household with predictable routines will help her blossom. She wants to be with people—she just needs someone who will give her the time, kindness, and reassurance she missed out on before.
